MG F Trophy 160 Front Subframe Front Stainless Steel Mounting Kit with fixings
MG F Trophy 160 Front Subframe Front Stainless Steel Mounting Kit with all fixings. Front subframe front mounting kit to renew pair of front mountings complete with all of the fixings you will typically need during the installation. There are many combinations of mounting fixings available for sale elsewhere, however this offers the most comprehensive kit with all original MGR parts (not cheap aftermarket incorrect specification nuts bolts etc).
The non-original parts are improved versions of the MGR items, please see the rest of the text and view all of the photos for fitting tips. 2 x Stainless Steel Front Subframe Mounting (Original MGR). 2 x M12 Flange Bolt with patchlock (Original MGR).
2 x M12 Flange Nut (Original MGR). 4 x M8 Flange Taptite Bolt (Original MGR). 4 x M8 Flange Nut (Original MGR). 2 x plastic scrivets (equivalent to DBP5563). 4 x blackened stainless steel screws for wheel arch liner.
4 x blackened stainless steel washers for wheel arch liner. 4 x Spire Clip for wheel arch liner edge (Original MGR).
The inner mounting to body bolt screws into a captive nut in the bodywork, this bolt often shears off. The kit provides an extra flange nut to replace the captive nut- see photos.The two screws from each wheel arch to bumper are prone to corrosion making them difficult to remove and are visible items which can look unsightly. They are not identified on the EPC (Electronic Parts Catalogue) and are mild steel SEMS screws (screw with pre-asSEMbled washer) originally finished in a matt black "Geomet" coating.
The screws and washers supplied in the kit have the same dimensions and are high quality stainless steel that have been blackened with a black oxide process to give the original factory appearance. The plastic scrivets (screw - rivets) can be difficult to remove and often round off, needing to be prized out which damages them. The plastic wheel arch liners need to be pulled rearwards to gain access for changing the front subframe mountings.
